Frequently asked questions
Tickets
If you can’t see the cabin you’re looking to book, it may be sold out or not available on the selected departure. You can always check available cabins on board at our reception on Deck 7.
Unfortunately, we do not offer waiting lists for our regular departures. You can view all available departures in the booking flow.
We cannot guarantee specific cabin numbers or locations. However, you will always be offered the category you booked, such as sea view. You can always request a cabin change at check-in, subject to availability.
Each cabin can only fit as many passengers as there are beds – plus one infant (0-3 years old). If you’re bringing an infant, they will need to share a bed with a parent, as we do not have separate beds for infants in our standard cabins.
Some of our premium cabins and suites do offer a little extra flexibility – they may include an extra bed or a cot for a child. Contact us for more information.
It is currently not possible to book two different vehicle categories online. We recommend completing your booking online and then contacting us by phone. If you are booking during peak season, we suggest calling us to check availability.
Remember to check the height and length of your vehicle, including bike racks or roof boxes, before booking your trip. If your vehicle does not fit within the booked category, you may be denied boarding.
Unfortunately, we do not offer a service for unaccompanied minors due to the length of the journey and onboard safety regulations. Individuals aged 16 and over may travel as transport passengers. For Minicruises, you must be at least 18 years old or travel with an adult.
If you are traveling for a special occasion, and with a group of at least 8 people, you can contact us at +45 72 62 16 17 or grupperejser@dfds.com for more help.
Payment
It’s not possible to reserve tickets, as we operate with dynamic prices. Payment must be made at the time of booking.
Most card types can be used when booking your trip online. Please check that the card details you entered are correct and meet the requirements. If you experience any issues with payment, please contact our customer care.
Check-in and boarding
Check-in closes 15 minutes before departure. Please check your booking confirmation for specific check-in and boarding times. Be mindful of traffic and the high number of passengers during peak season.
If you arrive too late for check-in, your ticket will be lost. Please check your booking confirmation for the check-in and boarding times.
If you're traveling on a minicruise, you can reboard one hour after arrival.
Onboard facilities
All prices on board are listed in DKK.
You can withdraw both DKK and NOK from the onboard ATM located on Deck 7. Most major currencies (NOK, DKK, SEK and EUR) and card types are accepted at the ship’s points of sale.
Children under 3 years old can travel for free, as long as they don’t need their own bed (maximum one child per cabin). For safety reasons, baby cots are not allowed in our standard cabins. However, we can provide bed rails to help keep your child from falling out while sleeping.
Some of our premium cabins and suites do offer a little extra flexibility – they may include an extra bed or a cot for a child. Contact us for more information.
For safety reasons, you are not allowed to stay in your car during the crossing. Please make sure to bring everything you need with you when you leave your car.
Smoking is only permitted in designated smoking areas. Signs on board will direct you to these areas. If you’re unsure, feel free to ask a crew member.
All our crew members are trained in first aid. However, there are no medical facilities on board, so you must be in good health and fit to travel. We recommend having travel insurance in case of emergencies.
Seasickness tablets are not available for purchase on board, so we recommend buying them at a pharmacy before departure.
Yes, Wi-Fi is available on board and is provided by Telenor Maritime. You can purchase Wi-Fi access via your phone when connecting to the onboard Wi-Fi or at the reception on board. Wi-Fi access is limited to one device at a time.
